Inside the studio: how a vase is made

Every Irish Crafts piece begins as a pencil sketch, often drawn on a rainy afternoon looking out over the Atlantic. The best sketches are modelled digitally, then printed as rough prototypes and lived with at home for a few weeks.
Layer by layer
When you place an order, your piece is printed in fine layers, often more than five hundred for a single vase. We tune every print for a soft, even surface that catches the light like hand-thrown ceramic.
Finished by hand
After printing, each piece is cleaned, inspected and, for vases, sealed and water-tested. Only then is it wrapped in recycled paper and boxed for its journey to you.
